Your home exercise program is arguably the most important part of a physical therapy episode. In order for you to have a good outcome, consistency with your exercises is key. Because of this, our goal is to make it easy for you to access your home exercise program. Your lifestyle is unique to you, so the way you interact with your program needs to be tailored to your needs.
Here is a step-by-step guide to first help you access your program. Next, we offer tips about different ways to interface with it based on your preferences.
Accessing Your Home Exercise Program
Receive email notification
You’ll receive an email notification that you have a home exercise program from Thrive Physical Therapy.
Open the email and click the link to open your program.
Create your password
Your Access Code is your username and will automatically populate when you click the program link, but it’s also listed in the email for your reference. Now, create your password and take a moment to check the box “remember me”.
Checking this box will make it so you don’t have to re-enter your password if you access it from the same device. Click submit and you’re on your way!
How to Save Your Home Exercise Program
Smart Phone or Tablet
Most of our patients prefer to access their home program from a smart phone or tablet. The benefit of this is that you can have it with you at all times, whether travelling, at work or at home. Additionally, if you have it loaded onto your device, you can usually still see your program even when you don’t have access to Wi-Fi.
‘Save to Home Screen’
First, open the home exercise program link on your phone or tablet. Next click the share button on your device. Not sure where the share button is? See two common share button examples below. Devices can vary depending on the model, so if your device doesn’t have one of these buttons, search online to find out what your share button looks like.
Once in the share menu, select ‘Save to Home Screen’. You now have the option to name it. We suggest naming it something that is meaningful to you (examples: PT, exercise, hip, etc….). If you have more than one program from us, it’s helpful to name them by body part.
Your saved home program will now look like an app on your home screen. Move it next to something you use all the time as a reminder to do your exercises.
Laptop or Desktop
If you prefer to access your program from a laptop or desktop computer, bookmark it to avoid having to wade through your emails. First, open the link from your email inbox. Then bookmark it in your browser.
How to Print Your Home Exercise Program
It works best to print your program from a desktop or laptop rather than a smartphone or tablet. Click the blue printer icon at the top left of your program. Then, you can select the format, and how many exercises you wish to have on each page. Find a layout that works best for you!
If you don’t have a printer at home, please let us know, we are happy to print it for you!Disclaimer
